Show Notes
This episode focuses on the night before Christian died, leading up to the time of death. We hear from Josh, Christian’s brother, who tells us about Whitley living with them in their shared apartment, and some of the issues Christian and Whitley were having. According to Josh, Christian had it in his mind that he and Whitley were over, and he was ready to move on.
We hear from Cheryl Stanley, who worked with Christian on the boat. She was close with him and he confided in her. The night of February 25, 2014, the night before Christian died, he was on the boat in the middle of a 30 day hitch. But after getting incessant calls from Dylan Swearingen telling him about Whitley riding around in Christian’s car with another guy, Christian devised a plan to get off the boat to go home, kick her out of the apartment and get his car back.
Christian called his friend Justin Burns at 2am to ask him to pick him up in St. Rose, LA and take him back home, but soon told him not to come after all because he had someone coming and “they owed him money.” It was Dylan who came to pick him up in St. Rose and took him back home to Meridian to his apartment.
We hear Dylan and Whitley’s statements that give us their accounts of that day, and inconsistencies surface.
